China’s human trafficking  happens within their own country. Chinese women and children are trafficked from Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Europe, Canada, Japan, Italy, Burma, Singapore, South Africa, and Taiwan. Many Chinese are recruited by false promises of employment and are later threatened into prostitution or forced labor. Children are sometimes recruited by traffickers who promise their parents that their children can send money back home. In the poorer areas of China, most trafficked women are sold as wives to old and disabled unmarried men.   In richer areas, most trafficked women are sold to commercial sex businesses, hair salons, massage parlors and bathhouses. Chinese children were also kidnapped and sold for adoption.  Causes: victims have lack of education and awareness.

Causes: UNICEF argues that the causes of this trafficking are  poverty, little education, lack of the awareness of trafficking, and family conflicts.  . A way of prevention is that  The government has made a number of awareness raising projects, and special training for teenage girls in high-risk areas to be aware of the trafficking.

The traffickers that are in charge of kidnapping women and children are  the Yakuza.  Most women and children who are trafficked come from China, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Many of the victims are threatened into commercial sexual exploitation in strip clubs, sex shops, hostess bars, private video rooms, escort services, and mail-order video services. In some cases brokers used drugs to subjugate victims or make them feel no pain or numb. Women are usually held in debt bondage for $26,000 to $43,000 for their living expenses, medical care, and other important things.

Australia is one place where human trafficking is taken place. Many of these victims come from East Asia,South East Asia,Eastern Europe and People’s Republic of China, Korea, and Thailand. Some of the causes is that their is a lack of women who are not prepared for prosititution and so they “recruit” other females. Some of the “customers” demand for women who won’t fight back and can take pain.
